While you're in town, be sure to have some classic Texan barbeque and some authentic Tex-Mex. One of your first stops in this department should be Stubbs B-B-Q. After dinner, no trip to Austin would be complete without live music at the Continental Club. Or, you can get a feel of the Austin of old at the Dry Creek Saloon, which is still a favorite local hangout. During the day, you can a better idea of the city's history by dropping by the state capitol building or visiting Lyndon Johnson's Presidential Library. If you'd rather get some exercise, take a hike or bike ride along the Colorado River at Ziker Park.
